S&W or DP 4 in 1 or ?

These pictures really don't show just how bad the van looks right now. The lower body cladding looks almost tan when actually seen. This is when I normally would take it to a DIY spray wash and knock some of the crud off before doing either a Rinseless wash or using the S&W.
How Many of you would just jump right on it with one of those two products without doing the spray rinse first?

I've attacked cars that looked worse than that Charles with out the pre-rinse...I let the S&W set on the car for a minute or two to loosen up anything....use one towel to get the dirt lifted then another clean one on the back of that...then lastly I go over with QD to finish

The pictures shown in your post is why I use so many towels when I do an S&W wipedow. I would go to town with S&W. A new MF towel every four swipes. I may add a little marring but not much. Nothing that a good polish would not take care of on my black truck. Of course my Black truck does not look like any of your vehicles, Charles.

You guys are very encouraging.
I had/have some reservations, but I did take a few more pictures.
If after looking at them, the consensus of opinion is still "Just Do It", I will.

I did just that yesterday with only two towels and then the QD from Poorboys. Amazingly easy and looks beautiful. :yay

I would spray some ONR on the car,let it soak ,then wash it with ONR ,then dry and use PB S&W to wipe it down.

That's more trouble than going to the spray wash, then come home and finish the job with just the S&W. :)
Do you really think it would need both a rinseless wash and the S&W wash?
If just one of those two won't do the job, I think I would continue to do the DIY spray wash first then finish with the S&W as I have done in the past.
I was more curious as to people's opinions on how dirty the vehicle was for either the DP 4 in 1 or the S&W.

One thing that is pretty obvious.
I have been a lot more cautious when using these products than it appears I needed to be.
That's good to know. :bigups

Hey Charles, when you go to the DIY spray wash do you dry the car before using the S&W? Or does it just dry off on the drive home? I think I am really asking if the car needs to be completely dry before using the S&W.

The vehicles are just air dried on the trip home. The DIY spray wash doesn't leave the paint clean enough to touch with a towel even if you used all their different soap options, (Which I don't.)
The car doesn't need to be completely dry, but I don't think you would want it terribly wet because of diluting the S&W.
When I first started using S&W about 4 or 5 years ago, Poorboy didn't have all the products he has today. At that time, S&W diluted with 20% water was a common quick detailing product.

A few things about S&W.
1. You are gonna love it.
2. You will use way too much the first time or two, but you will soon develop a feel for how much to use.
3. It evidently is safe for much dirtier vehicles than I have used it on.
4. You just as well take advantage of the pricing and buy a gallon to start with.

32 0z bottle is the only size avilable here in Toronto IIRC,
It does appear that 16 oz. and 32 oz. bottles are all that is available from your Canadian distributor. Bummer.
You probably can buy four 32 oz. bottles there for less than it would cost you to have a gallon shipped in from the States. Don't you have to pay some pretty high fees and some duty on anything shipped in?

all you need to do is make a request in to [email protected] and he usually puts in an order for you pretty quick ;)

those taxes and high fees have stopped a lot of us from ordering anything above $50 from the US sites ,the idea of asking ESHINE(Chris) to order the bucket size S$W never crossed my mind :hmmm:
I guess it wouldn't hurt asking and then comparing to see which size I'm better off with.
I ran out of S&W a couple of months ago and tried other products but the truth is I miss it ,that stuff is irreplaceable.
