rust stains on carpet

i have had some lick "fading" not removing using lemon juice, i am anxious to hear more responses on this one

Something I've found useful is 1 part Woolite to 6 parts water in a spray bottle. I don't know if it will cut rust stains, but for the price, it's worth a shot. Plus, it'll clean almost any stains.

I don't really understand if you have tried stuff that didn't work, or you just want suggestions, but I'll tell you what I have used to get out some stains. Prestone Stain Remover from Wal-Mart. It comes in an aerosol can and has a brush on the top of the can (which can be removed). It has gotten out some tough stains for me. Another similar product is the Blue Coral Dri-Clean. Hope this can help.

Products like "Iron-X", "Rust-Out", "Iron Mikes" disolved in water work very well at removing rust stains from carpet and fabric in general. These products are sold under many different names and are usually available at a plumbing supply house or a water softener dealer and sometimes at Lowes and other building supply places. Some are sold as rust stain removers and some are sold as watersoftener rust removers but are basically the same product. Be careful to keep your nose away from the mixture, because it stinks and can irritate your sinuses.

I've tried APC+ at 12/1 which didn't do much and Folex which worked a little bit better but stains still quite noticable. I have the woolite/water mix so I'll try that. I also have the Prestone which has been on the shelf for awhile so maybe I'll try some of that also. Last month I bought some CLR but I can't seem to find it. I was thinking that might work along the lines of "Iron Mike's", "Rust Out" etc.
Thanks everybody.

I've had luck with "Spot Shot" from target in the orange and blue can with stains that nothing else would touch.

aaahh Spot Shot yes I 've got some of that too. That's works pretty well.
But don't use CLR. Just found mine and it may be good for calcium deposits but not for carpets.
