Would using the smaller pad on the 21 let the machine be used to its full potential since it seems the larger stroke is geared at using the larger pads?

Using smaller pads will simply reduce the overall working surface area. It's kinda of like using 5.5 pads on a PC and not 6.5 even though it can use 6.5. The smaller pads just work better.

But the Rupes was designed to work with its pads and polishes. So using any other pads or polishes is changing the overall system design. But that is what many of us Detailers do.

You won't reduce the "potential" but it will change the dynamic of the machine. Rupes carefully engineered everything to work together. :bigups

1) Does AutoGeek make the same modification as Buffdaddy?

2) If the machine breaks while under warranty, will it have to be sent back to Italy and if so, who pays and how long will I be without my machine?

Thanks ! :howdy

1) The Rupes system (machine, pads, polishes) is extremely well engineered and works together perfectly as designed.

2) You can send the machine back to us and we will take care of it.

1) For my 8th Christmas my father got me a Sears 5hp mini bike. I was the coolest kid on the block and man was that thing FAST! Or at least I thought so untill the older kid around the corner showed me how to improve the performance dramaticlly by opening up the governor...Can you say Night & Day?

2) From what I understand, Buffdaddy is going to keep replacement parts on hand and repair any machines that may break themselves instead of shipping back to Italy?

I think I heard also that Buffdaddy will send you a loaner if you bought your unit from them and the repair was going to require more then a 10 working days wait (from the time they receive yours)

Any chance you guys will be doing this?

I couldn't imagine how long I would be without my tool if I had to wait on it to be shipped to AG......then back to Italy.......then repaired...... then back to AG....then finally back to me :passout:

When I got my Speed3 I ripped out the whimpy turbo for a bigger turbo. Everything was great until I destroyed the halfshafts. Then I replaced the motor mounts. Now I had no traction so I added stickier tires which led to a burned clutch...

What is awesome about the Rupes (RUPES ;) is that they developed this system to work together and did an awesome job. The system is easy to use, produces great results, and has little guess work. This makes it ideal for enthusiasts, beginners, professionals, employees, and so on.

Of course there are enthusiasts out there who will use their favorite pads, polishes and accessories... They may benefit from adding a washer to free up extra rotation.

While not standard practice, we could send a loaner buffer on a case-by-case basis. We (Palm Beach Motoring Group) live for customer service. This is no problem.

As far as fixing or replacing your polisher, PBMG is once again famous for our dedication to customer service. With in 30 days we will replace the machine, if it longer then 30 days we will evaluate the polisher and work with Rupes to make sure you can continue polishing away without delay. :bigups:bigups

Well luckily your nightmare scenario is limited to your brain's frontal lobe. AG and Autopia are dedicated to customer service.

Thanks.

BTW, Rupes S.p.A refers to themselves as both Rupes and RUPES on their website, in their information, and on their marketing material. Both capitializations are correct, according to their official documentation.
