And danged proud of it too (speaking for myself)! Don't you just love it when the young female store clerks, bank tellers, etc. refer to you as Sir or Mr. ____? I used to tell them that Mr. _____, that's my Dad. Now I just smile broadly and nod. :D
 
Did you mean Daingerfield TX? I had to look it up, hadn't heard of it. That would be 2-3 days drive from where I am.......Mexico is just the other side of town.
 
Yeah, I knew you were across the state. As kids the family would drive to Dangerfield from Utah in 2 long days and spend a couple of weeks there every other summer. Speed limits were 75 and you could run 85 without the do-right-boys giving you a second look. Those were the days.
 
Daingerfield was smack dab in the heart of the Texas oil patch country! I knew exactly what your reference was GH. Just south of Mt. Vernon hometown of the late great Dandy Don Meredith. And just west of Hughes Springs hometown of a fellow I used to work with.
