rock chips in front lip

Hey guys,

I have a lowered car with a factory front lip on my car right now. The color is black. Anyways, after 40k+ miles with 80% of the miles being on the highway my front lip looks like crap. I actually think my front lip and part of my bumper look better when they are dirty. There are tons of tiny white marks on it from rocks and pebbles. I dont have any pictures at the moment but imagine wearing a black shirt with lint and going under a black light, thats how it looks. There are some chips that are big enough to use some touch up paint and langka, but most of them are too small. Is there anything I can do to make it look better without spending over $200 to get it repainted? I've thought about purchasing color matched spray paint from paintscratch.com and some spray clear coat but I'm sure that'll make it look worse.

If you were to buy spray paint, you'd likely have a bumper FULL of orange peel. Painting isn't as easy as some might think.

I'd use some touchup paint, and don't follow close to the car in front of you. You're asking for chips if you follow close. I always shake my head when I see nice cars tailgating other cars. :nono:

I am in the same boat my friend...I am getting it repainted hopefully soon. There are alternatives, there is a guy in my area, a family friend, who does paint chip touch up and the work is incredible - - Maybe you could look into this, however if your chips are as bad as mine...Getting it re-painted is probably your best bet, check around for prices..quality might cost a little more, but in the long run you will be happy Im sure.
