I was just contacted by Renegade motor coaches, wanting a 77 foot coach detailed, I belieive it is new, but how much per foot is a good base? int/ext

77 foot? Unpossible. Probably more like a 45 foot.

Inside and out, or just outside? $20 a foot for just outside to wash, polish and seal.

Motorcoach and Stacker trailer that is 77' long and 13'4" tall, this was cut from there email. I am on there website now trying to figure it out. They look like the RV's that rock stars travel in

Wow, $20 a foot?? Isn't that a little on the cheap side for a wash, polish and seal? That's at least 3-4 steps. That's going to take about 3 days easy inside and out.

Check with boat detailers and find out what they're charging per foot.

Frank (Mirrorfinishman) wrote an article for Professional Carwashing and Detailing magazine on this very subject. I believe he said to divide the length by 2 and multiply that figure by your hourly rate. That was for exterior only though.

$20 per foot price is outside only. Never really done a full interior on one, just polished the brass rails and wiped down the hard surfaces.

Wash, polish and seal on a 44' coach takes me about 15 hours total, about 9 when my older son helped me on the last one. A real time saver is to polish with Poli-Seal and remove with Optimum Car Wax. Holds up pretty well, especially since coaches like that are rarely left outside except when actually being used.

I don't know, I've never done a huge vehicle like that, but still seems a bit cheap for a 3 step process on the exterior.

I'd charge more but that's just me.

I have only done one and thats how I bid it out. I probably could have charged more but $15 per linear foot and around a 45 footer, well you do the math. I had nothing else going on that weekend why not just take the money and run. Took me about 15 hours.

still havent heard back on if it is in and out or just exterior, I do not see it taking more than my 1-step product and some 26 if it is a new one, which I am almost sure it is, it is for a travel show, I have never done a full polish on a rv, just wash, spot polish, and interior, my wife and I did 2 30 footers in a day and a half during the summer, I just hope it is not black(it prob will be) leaves alot of room for a mis quote, Ill keep you posted

Good memory Brad. When you divide the 77 foot length by 2, you get 38 1/2. So you can figure about 38 1/2 man-hours to detail something that big. Of course, this is just an estimate. The actual time needed would need to take in the age and general condition of the vehicle. Below is a link to the article in Professional Carwashing & Detailing.

$60 an hour is pretty good, IMO.

Plus the person who has the 45' Newell I occasionally clean has a rolling staircase for me to use.

well it may be 77 feet, here are some photos. They want quotes for in and out, exterior only and for wash/dry/light polish on the chrome I am almost hoping they go with just wanting an express type detail because this thing does look a bit intimidating, let me know your thoughts
