RMG Layers, cure time?

Does Red Machine Glaze have a cure time? Are there any benefits from layering RMG? I am considering placing two layers of RMG and then topping with Carnuba Moose Wax? What is the consensus?

Hello!

Oils in these products are suppose fill the tiny pores in the paintwork, what you may find is one time they are filled and the second is just waste.

If your applying by hand why not try it on a small area. RMG should not leave hardly any residue, just light thin dust. If you are getting more then that you probably just wasting product.

I was advised that after washing, if i had a machine polisher i could use RMG as a paintwork cleaner. Wash, Clay, RMG, WAX. I think there is post on here by the Clearkote guy or a copy of an email he issues stating the same. Therefore i would that two coats by machine probably isnt possible or worth it!

A great product, one coat LSP!

Enjoy!

As stated above, I don't think there is much point doing multiple applications of RMG. I think you would likely get more bang for your time by doing two applications of the CMW (to ensure even coverage, yada yada).

Agree 100%. RMG + CMW is a killer combo if you like depth and a slight darkening effect.

What is the exact purpose of RMG ? Paint cleaner for LSP ? what is the exact purpose of VM ? Both are glazes . As it stands I have seen a premium shine come from come from VM. I know Scott I think invented the PINK mixture. But as stand alone products what does each do over the other ??

One other question , but about CMW though. I see it does not stick to the inside of the plastic bottle , why would that be , my guess it has alot of oil and silicone in it . Not sure please correct me if I'm wrong. The durability also claims more time than many sealants (6mo. I think) Granted there other factors involved.

RMG is a excellant paint cleaner. It will remove old waxes and sealants. I love to use Men. PO85RD, RMG, then my LSP. Makes a killer combo.

VM is a more effective paint cleaner, RMG adds more depth.

Clearkote products are petroleum based. So is your paint...

Makes sense.

Can u multi layer CMW. Scott seems like the blend VM/RMG correct ??

Your thoughts on using MW as I AIO/or 1step before applying CMW ?? Also about the claims of such long durability of CMW ?

Thank you

I blend VM/RMG into Pink Moose. Not sure if CMW actually layers, but two thin applications will ensure complete coverage. CMW is pretty durable, I've had several customers request I use "whatever you used the last time because it holds up so well" after using it on their cars.

The regular Moose Wax works fine under CMW.
