Rinseless washing question?

There has been some discussion on a different forum recently about whether ONR releases the dirt from the wash mitt when rinsed. Some feel enough dirt is retained to be a problem.
I have only used ONR once and didn't notice a problem.
I have used DP Four in One several times and have not noticed any dirt retention with it, either. I have used a sea sponge, a grout sponge, a cotton chenille pad, and a cotton chenille mitt and none of them seemed to be a problem to rinse. There again, my vehicles may nor be as dirty as some since I have alway pre-washed at the DIY spray wash when they were really dirty.

Any of you people have any experience or comments?

I haven't noticed this, either with ONR or QEW. The rinse buckets are dirty and the mitt looks clean, leading me to believe I am doing a good job of rinsing. Not noticing any new marring on the finish is another indicator that I am rinsing. I don't see why ONR would hold anything in the mitt.

I have also used a MF mitt and also a grout sponge several times but found the grout sponge to get really dirty and black even after rinsing it a few times in the ONR rinse bucket ,still felt confident that regardless of how black it looked ,it didn't retain any dirt/sand .
Just to be sure, after rinsing in the ONR I rinsed the black looking sponge in a clean warm (WHITE) bucket and saw nothing to be concerned about.

:yikes: Umm... yeah... I guess I'll be the voice of opposition again. :notme: I've used QEW and ONR and have found that the mitts do seem to get dirtier and "hold" the dirt more than when doing a "normal" wash. Granted, I used a cheaper mitt and have used neither a grout sponge nor a wool mitt for this, so it could be my inferior mitt, but considering that I use the same mitt for "normal" washes without having the dirt stick to the mitt, I think there is some validity to this claim.

But then I often seem to get "unusual" results when I do things. :hmmm:

I am going to agree, I used a dreadlock mit and it definatly seemed to become more dirty than when I do a normal wash. Although I do not think it did any marring , the polimers seemed to do a great job at keeping the paint lubed.
