Rinseless vs waterless

Can't seem to find a thread comparing or explaining differences, not that it's not there I'm just not very skilled at finding past threads. I've been looking at the Blackfire Wet Diamond Waterless. Is a rinseless better for the paint?

Waterless Car Wash
A waterless car wash is where you use a high lubricity pre-mixed spray detailer to heavily saturate a panel and then carefully wipe any dirt or road grime off to a dry shine. The key to working safely with a waterless car wash is to use plenty of clean, microfiber polishing towels and after using all 8 sides of a microfiber towel, quit using the microfiber towel and switch to a new, clean microfiber polishing towel so you don't simply transfer dirt removed from one panel to another panel.

Rinseless Car Wash
A rinseless car wash is kind of a cross between a normal car wash and a waterless car wash. Like a normal car wash, you’re still going to use water, but only a couple of gallons. Like a waterless wash, instead of rinsing your wash solution off, you’ll work panel by panel and wipe each panel to a dry shine using microfiber drying towels like the Water Guzzler. With a Rinseless Wash, you’ll use dramatically less water but still be flushing the panel with plenty of high lubricity wash solution to leave behind a scratch-free finish.

I feel that he Rinseless wash is the safer of the two. I typically use the 2 bucket method - 1 bucket for the water and solution and the other bucket as a rinse. You can google "The Garry Dean Method" . This is another method of using the rinseless with just 1 bucket of pre soaked towels.

Although I use both as well as B2M washes I feel that Rinseless is better and safer than Waterless. The more water = more lubrication and safety. I use Waterless washes now to remove minor dust and such like many use a QD for.

Waterless washes make great presoaks for rinseless washes. Like I'll use Pinnacle waterless as a pre soak for Pinnacle rinseless.

I have done the same. But most of the time I will pre-soak with straight H2O and then rinseless. It is the water that helps the most IMO.

I typically will mix up some extra rinseless wash that I am using in a pump up sprayer and use that as a presoak. It is cheaper than using the waterless wash and still gives you that extra lubricity.

Thanks for everyone's responses! When you pre soak do you do the whole car or just a section at a time?

I think you want to work sections at a time, making sure to let the presoaking polymers trap as much dirt as they can.
