RimWax updates

Hey guys!!

I have read a few posts concerning Rimwax by Smart Wax. These posts were a few months ago has anyone tried the product just recently. Can anyone give me a recent product performance update? I'm looking for a way to clean, protect, and get rid of slight marring on my high polish aluminum wheels. :think2

Never tried the RimWax, but you might want to give a durable LSP like Zaino or Collinite a try on the wheels. :2thumbs:

Do you have any recommendations for removal of the marring? I have been told that high polish aluminum will have some marring. I don't have much experience with it though so I'm just not sure. :nixweiss

RimWax? Do you mean WheelWax??

Anyways I have used it, and it leaves a nice shine on the wheels and they are certainly easier to clean up the next wash.

It "sounds" great but I don't have any other information. I have used Z2 on them but I'm always looking for something even better for that particular finish or a one step item.

yeah ive got high polished alum on my work truck and have been spending a few hours a night polishing them, im not sure if 100% of the marring can be removed and after a few hours of polishing believe me there is still some remaining. i did however notice that where i wet sanded on half of one wheel there is a higher shine and few imperfections.ill post pics even though its kinda hard to tell in the light they were taken.

hope this helps

You may be quite disappointed. I have tried Poorboy's Wheel Sealant, and I like regular ol' Collinite 845 better.

For polishing out the scratches, pick up a Mothers Powerball and a good aluminum polish (search, I'm sure there are a plenty of recommendations).

in person its much more obvious as like i said it was kinda dark. stay away from many wheel cleaners including megs wb as it will not leave a pretty desirable finish behind. i used never dull to clean and mother mag polish via rotary and old wool pad on these. not done yet but it keeps me busy on rainy days. notice how contaminated the before is. they literally look white or whitish grey before polishing.

W.T.F? David is selling SmartWax?! Wasn't there a huge scandal a while back and a bunch of people involved with SmartWax got banned? Isn't that a little hypocritical? Just thought that was funny.

But about the topic, I've never tried it, so sorry no input from me.

That's what I said too. It was one of the distributors for SmartWax who was caught having several screen names and schilling. And David now made a business deal with that distributor! Remember that rant DB put up in the news section about that guy? I dare you to try and find it again.... :hmph:

Well :thx for everyones in put. I have decided to try RimWax. After all I will never know unless i try the product.

LOL.....This takes the cake.

I remember that thread Sherman, someone shared it with me.

Maybe he should post a statement appologizing for his point of view to said individual, since he is now selling the SmartWax and profiting from it himself.

Wow, how tides have changed, and that comparison to the middle east learning something from this.....gag !

I've found these types of waxes/cleaners/polishes just don't do as good a job as something liike KSGx2 on my wheels.
