Riccardo Clay

Eliot Ness

I just did a search and didn't see anything posted on this yet. I just got this e-mail from eShine on Friday:

"Riccardo Clay has been a favorite of most for many years. It is our best selling claybar and our best performing. Until now due to patent issues we were not able to sell this product to USA customers. Riccardo Clay is now able to ship anywhere in North America! Free shipping on orders over $150 includes USA addresses too! For the icing on the cake Riccardo Clay is 25% OFF!"

For those of us that love the yellow polyelastic clay this is great news. Perhaps other vendors will start selling it now also.

eShine Canada: Riccardo

Ya I got that too ... I really like it ... been using it for a few years now ... seems to perform better than the others I tried. I got in on a BOGO sale they had a while back. Still have a few unopened boxes.

Ah, glad to see this is available again (and good to see Eliot Ness posting too :wavey ).

I have a big stash of it from when it was closed out the last time, and I simply love it for cases where the Sonus SFX isn't aggressive enough.

is it better than clay magic?

What's the difference between the yellow and the blue?

Sorry, never used Clay Magic :nixweiss

But it's a different *type* of clay, only used one other that was similar (Sonus "block" v1.0, only on the market for a very short time). So I don't compare it directly with "regular clay" in a better/worse sort of way. The Ricardo is more like a "soft malleable plastic" and less like "Play Dough", if that makes any sense.

Howdy Accumulator :wavey

I was also lucky enough to find enough sources of yellow clay to hold me over. I respect those who use (and like) Clay Magic but many of us who used the old yellow clay would rather 'fight than switch' ;).

Hopefully this means the Clay Magic patent wars are over and we'll see our favorite clay locally again. I like the Sonus SFX clay too and used it whenever possible to preserve my stash of yellow.

I wonder how long before US retailers get this? I would like to try some, I currently use Clay Magic blue.

If it wasn't so goofy *** expensive to shop stuff around here in CanaDUH I'd order you a box and ship it from my US address.

Thanks - I can wait, actually, I have to - all my detailing purchases have been put on hold for now. I'm in limbo with my mom's estate.

Ordered Riccardo Yellow last week from eshine it came a couple days ago.Haven't tried using it yet.Actually even with shipping it was cheaper than what i have seen on some of the other online shops. It sure does have a funky smell though!
