Someone on another forum was looking for a new tire dressing, he asked if I had any pics of my tires with WG and I decided to revisit the product and give him a review as well.

Please be gentle this is my first review :stick

Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel

Cost:
$16.99 for 16oz - $1.06/oz
$39.99 for 64oz - $0.62/oz

From label:
Contains NO PD’s, Semi-gloss formula will dress any tire with out causing damage to skin or applicator, highly concentrated, lasts for weeks not days, a 16oz bottle is equivalent to 3-4 16 oz bottles of spray on tire dressing. (Note: the label says a 16oz bottle is equal to 3 32oz bottles but WG and Autogeek website says 16oz, I will give that it is supposed to be 16oz)

Container:
Sturdy black plastic with flip top

Instructions for use:
Straight forward and understandable

Color/smell:
Gel is clear with no noticeable odor

Applied:
Placed a bead of product on an EO tire swipe and wiped evenly over a clean tire

Thoughts/Comments:
Leaves the tire with a rich black look that I like, it may not be glossy enough for some people (a second can be applied if a glossier finish is desired). Manufacturer does say that you should wait 1 hour before driving (not really an issue for me, but it might be for some)
I will let you know about longevity.

Mfg. notice:
DO NOT USE ON MOTORCYCLE TIRES

Lookin good, Jay!

Thanks for the review. I have found WG Tire Gel to be one of the better tire dressings out there.

Looks like the car in the first pic needs some help :).

nice review. i recently tried the Pinnacle Black onyx tire gel & it looks just as good as bold N' bright. Difference is that the Onyx lasts much longer but for price ill stick to bold N bright. :yourrock

J the tire looks great and the gloss would work for me. the dressing seems not to have an oily look and i like the nice even application.being that i have some of WG products the review was helpful to me. Thanks

GSRstilez:
Thanks Sean, yes it is a very nice dressing, and I do remember it holding up fairly well the last time I used it.
As for the car in the first 2 pics thats my dead Olds, I use it for rotary practice and as a test bed. My wife and neighbors think that I'm crazy because I wash, polish and wax a car that hasn't moved in close to 2 years

Miami:
I was fortunate enough to get the WG last year during Max's 12 days of Christmas, otherwise I don't see my self spending $17 for 16oz of dressing. I will admit that a small amount does go along way with this product. BnB is my normal tire dressing.

Joe:
Thanks, it does leave you with clean look, I always apply my tire dressing with a swipe which does have a nice even look, but the product being thicker gives it a chance to set in place without any runs. Glad the review was some help to you.

I got a demo of it. Tried it on my Jimmy tires. Looked great, a little tougher to work in around lettering. I didn't find the durability any better than my commercial stuff. Would like to see your comments on that in a week or two.

im using the same wolfgang tire gel right now and it works great for me. for me i definitely need to wait an hour before driving because the product slings.

***Update***

Well 1 week has gone by and I have had rain on and off, and here is how the WG is holding up.

There was nothing done to the tires at this point

Just wiped down W/ some S&W (I don’t know if how much if anything was add by the S&W)

All in all the tires don’t look bad, they have lost some of their sheen, but that is to be expected driving through puddles and all.

I’ll let you know what happens after week #2.

I experienced no sling, but I did wait the recomended 1 hour before driving it as well.

After thought:
When I applied it was just applied w/ an EO tire swipe, I didn't wipe off any excess, but I did "work it" into the rubber.
