Review: Poorboy's Spray & Rinse Wheel Cleaner

How many times have you come across a product that claims you can just spray it on and rinse it off...no scrubbing, no scouring, no buffing?
Only to be disappointed time and time again...
Well! Imagine my delight (and initial skepticism!) after using PoorBoy's excellent product!

Bought at eshine.ca for, what I initially thought was a pricey $16.75, for 32oz bottle with a quality spray nozzle included...
As it turns out after using this for the first time (following the directions on the bottle), I'd pay twice that and still think it was a bargain!

The product goes on easily...there is a chemical smell to it, but nothing repugnant. Just make sure you don't inhale a big wiff of the stuff!
I let it sit for a minute or two, and did a test wipe on the dirtiest portion of the rim.
To my amazement, it wiped clean off!

At this point, I decided to give it a full rinse.
ALL of the dirty grime and stains came right off! The only thing I had to work at was removing the bits of ashault stuck hard to the surface in some spots...

I've never had an easier time cleaning my rims!

Have a look at the before pic's. This was AFTER I attacked them with Dissolve (an industrial strength cleaner), warm water and a stiff toothbrush...

Now, the after pic's...
Keep in mind, this is the exact same rim as above, with just a spray on and rinse off application of PoorBoy's Wheel Cleaner...I did no scrubbing whatsoever...

I bought some PB's wheel sealant at the same time, but I've yet to get some on the car...
That'll be next time!!

Wondering: Will the PB Spray & Rinse wheel cleaner strip off previously-applied PB Wheel Sealant? :dunno:

I'm thinking it might...seeing how powerful it is.
Then again, once the rims are clean and sealed, washing might be as easy as using just soapy water...

That has been my experience with Wheel Sealant. When used in a reular regimen soap and water is all that is needed to keep the wheels clean.

Thanks, guys - I thought so. Since I use the Wheel Sealant on a few of my cars, I really haven't neede a dedicated cleaner - Soap and rinse works well.

But sometimes I can't stay on top of it and I was *hoping* that (since the cleaner was from PB) it might still cleans without the need to re-seal.

Thanks for the review and for the replies!

I totally agree! PB Spray & Rinse wheel cleaner is the best! I only use it when I have to clean really dirty wheels and it is the perfect product for that.

I love the PB wheel sealant. I find that when I use it I only have to use soap and water to wash the wheels. I put a coat on about 5 to 6 weeks. One month would be better, but I'm lazy.
