Review of the new Foam Gun

WOW, is all I can say :punk: :punk:

I put about 2oz of Super Slick and Suds in the container, it looked like nothing in the 2 quart container:lol: and hooked up the gun to my hose. I kept the original trigger sprayer and didn't use the straight hook-up as many of you have gotten.
First I just used the trigger to wet down my Tahoe. (I have to also mention I had two little 6 year old helpers for the cleaning today...sorry no pictures ) ... then i put an ounce of SS&S in a bucket and filled it with water as usual, filled the second bucket with just clean water and my grit guard, and took out three large cotton chenille mitts for each of us. Then I used Bug Squash diluted 3:1 in the pump up foamer I also have to pre-treat the lower rocker panels as well as the tires and wheels. Now I hooked the Foam Gun back up to the trigger and put it on the smallest setting...not knowing if two ounces would be enough in this 2 quart container, I just gave it a go. Well the foaming suds started flowing out and within two minutes the entire Tahoe was covered in Foamy suds..this was an awesome site!!!! the foam gun sucked up the 2 ounces and diluted it perfectly. The kids and I then proceeded to wash in the normal manor and then I disconnected the Foam gun again and just used the trigger to rinse off the Tahoe. It worked well too and I do like triggers as the are easy for my big hands to hold.
Overall I was blown away on how great this thing worked. After I finished drying the Tahoe as my helpers abandoned ship  I was intrigued and went to the windows on the house. There was a little more soap left in the container , so I added a little water and started spraying the windows on the house, which led me to rinsing off the whole side of the house...I think I'm addicted to the Foam Gun ...next I plan on using APC to clean the rest of the outside of the house as well as the deck

Bill thx again for explaining those soap to water ratios the other day, and I am going to hook it up direct.

It's quite a tool and it's gonna help me alot!!

ok whats a foam gun and where can i get one... this detailing stuff is worse than drugs .... i cant say no

My review would be very similar, except I used a different soap. Thanks for the gun deal! I love this thing! I diluted my soap 1:1 and used the 3rd smallest orifice. I was amazed at how much quicker I cleaned my Odyssey!

Is the smallest setting with the bar all the way to the right or left?

-GT

by saying smallest setting I assume is the least ratio 1:128.. the bar should be all the way to the right (gun points away from you).. you can see the there's small holes on the metering stem.. the bigger the hole the bigger the ratio .. hope this helps.. I just got my gun today.. can't wait to try it out

would this gun replace the 1st bucket in a 2 busket method. All you would need would be a rinse bucket?

I suppose it could, but not if you were Bill D. LOL ... but really I think it's still a good idea to have two buckets, but you could probably dilute the soap even further just to make sure you have some soapy water on your mitt.

My ears keep ringing ;)

Sure, you could have some buckets of water and of soapy mix. I've used one of each on either side of the car while washing with the foam gun. However, I've kind of eliminated the use of buckets now with the exception of carrying one with new mitts in it and and another for placing them in when they get dirty and just foam up each mitt before starting to wash with with and keeping washing with the soap flowing over the finish. I use several mitts, about 4 or so, eliminates rinsing them or dunking them in a bucket filled with rinse water. It also brings complete peace of mind by just switching over to a new mitt entirely per section.
