Review Meguiars Ultimate Leather Balm

The Guz

Mike
I purchased this elsewhere and wanted to pass along the review for it.

It's a new product for 2016.

The product comes in a box.

The contents of the box are the product and a foam applicator. The jar contains about 5 oz's of product. It may not seem like a lot but it really is a good amount as a little product goes a long way.

The product is similar to a soft paste wax consistency.

I don't have an image of the directions but it's pretty straight forward. Use the provided applicator and work into the leather. Follow with a light final wipe to remove any excess product. It also states that if more cleaning is needed, use a microfiber applicator.

I did a deep cleaning on my seats using D181 Leather Cleaner. So I did not test out the cleaning ability of the product.

A little product goes a long way. I worked into sections and applied more as I needed. I let the product sit on the front and rear seats for a few minutest before proceeding with a light buff to remove any excess product and to knock the shine down a bit.

It was overcast so the lighting is a little off.

Here is a 50/50

This is a great product. It's ease of use makes it a pleasure to work with. The coconut scent is spot on. The scent just adds to the enjoyment of using it. As the photos show, it darkens the leather. It gave the leather a nice soft and supple feeling. A little product goes a long way.

Overall a great product and a nice addition to the ultimate line.

Great review Guz! Your seats look nice, just the right amount of sheen, with a like new appearance.

Going to put this here as well as someone asked me

Both! But as with any leather conditioner applied on older un-coated leather, typically because of the darkening a conditioner will provide, the entire seat or surface needs to be completed for a uniform appearance.

Thanks for the great review.
Looks like another great product from Meguiars.
Cant wait to get one!

Very impressive . I have been punching out some beautiful details using OTC Megs ultimate products. I use other stuff but NO boutique crap anymore .

Guz, I just bought it last night at Walmart.
Definitely made my light tan seats a little shinier.
I didnt wipe it down after applying.
I may do one more application in a week .
Ive applied PB leather stuff but wanted a bit more shine.
Ive never had leather seats before so dont know how often you need to treat them to keep them from looking old and worn.

A monthly application will be good. Especially if the vehicle sits outside and is a daily driver. I ended up reapplying it a month later.
