Review DP Polishing Pad Rejuvenator

Just a quick review of this product. I have used it a handful of times to clean my pads both foam and microfiber. Each time it's worked very well.

The directions state to let the pads sit for 15 min prior to agitating. All one needs is one scoop in 3-4 gallons of water.

I let these sit overnight after I finished the last paint correction as it was pretty late.

I came back the next day and used my fingers to work out the polish residue. It removed with the residue with no issues.

The only thing that it didn't remove was Meguiar's white wax. That was a little more difficult to remove. It did keep the pad wet so the wax didn't dry onto the pad. I had to use other measure to remove White Wax from the pads I used it with.


Other than that It does a very good job of cleaning pads. I tend to rinse them out with warm water just to be sure there is no left over residue from DP. I'm just a little OCD like that.

I recommend it.

Very nice! Ive never let mine sit longer than about 30 minutes but maybe ill try the overnight soak on some of the bad ones. I use the blackfire pad cleaner & restorer which I assume from packaging that its the same exact stuff just relabeled. Very easy to clean the pads this way!

I also have noticed that after the pads dry, the first time I use them they give off a TON of dust. I quickly learned to brush them out well before using them. Did you notice a similar result? I do rinse my pads very very well before spinning them dry on my rotary

I did notice some dust on a couple pads the first or second time I used this. I'm not sure if it was the powder from the pad cleaner or left over polish. That is why I have since rinsed them out with warm water to make sure everything is out of the pad. I also brush them out or blow them out with compressed air.

Nice review, Guz! I'm happy to hear you like DP's Polishing Pad Rejuvenator as much as I do!

Cleaning pads doesn't get much easier then DP's Polishing Pad Rejuvenator. I really appreciate how it helps me quickly rotate through pads during a detail with less cleaning up at the end. As I correct one panel, another pad is soaking, while a 3rd pad is drying.

IMHO using DP's PPR is a no brainer!

Interesting! I've never noticed my pads dusting as you describe. Like Guz, I too give the pads a fresh water rinse, spin the excess water out, and the let them air dry.

That's exactly what I do. Not sure why I have this issue. Its happened every time I clean them. Guess maybe I need to rinse them better
