I've had the carnauba itch for a couple months now, so when the opportunity (see "time") presented itself to hand-apply a coat of one of the finest carnauba waxes available - Bouncer's Capture the Rapture - I simply couldn't pass it up.

Capture the Rapture is more than just another carnauba wax that makes paint glossy and smooth, it's something special. Developed over a strenuous 10 month period by a car-wax enthusiast named Jay (known as the "Bouncer"), Capture the Rapture Car Wax promises to provide a stunning visual appearance that will surely impress even the most discriminating car wax enthusiasts. Bouncer’s Capture the Rapture Car Wax is crafted entirely by hand in Buckinghamshire UK.

The test subject was a 2013 Honda Accord.

Process:

  1. Wash with Pinnacle XMT Gel Shampoo & Conditioner
  2. Nanoskin Autoscrub Wash Mitt
  3. Klasse AIO
  4. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal
  5. Bouncer's Capture the Rapture

Before I proceed any further, let me make something clear: you will not read "effortless" or "super easy to apply" in this review. As I said earlier, Bouncer's Capture the Rapture is something special, and it makes you actually work for the carnauba glow that every car care enthusiast craves.

Before you shrug your shoulders and click the back button, take a look at the pictures below.

Bouncer's Capture the Rapture imparts a fluid gloss that causes light to dance across your paintwork. The result of all Jay's hard work is stunning reflections.

I applied Bouncer's Capture the Rapture by hand - outside temperature was about 85 degrees. Vehicle was parked in the garage (it was about 9 pm anyway).

I quickly discovered that if Bouncer's Capture the Rapture was applied just a hair too thick, or left to haze longer than instructed, that it could require some elbow grease to remove. After doing a small test spot, I dialed in my application method and found it best to remove Capture the Rapture about 1 minute after applying it. The extra effort required to remove this wax was well worth it.

If you don't mind putting in a little more effort for a lot more shine, Bouncer's Capture the Rapture is well worth a look.

Two thumbs up Jay. :rockon

I hv always wondered abt this wax.
Now i got a reason to buy it despite i hv 50+ different waxes!

Great review!

I've been using CTR on my BMW for a while now. I experimented with many different towels and methods to remove it and apply it. This is what I've found:

1. You need to spread this wax, FAST. The faster you spread it, the thinner it will be, as it gets sticky more than it hazes. The best way to apply CTR is with a Polishin' Pal and a 4" Meg's Wax Pad.

2. The best towel to remove this was is the Microfiber Madness Crazy Pile. This is one towel that really makes a difference and makes removal fairly easy.

3. The wax is very oily, so you just need to barely touch the applicator's edge to load it up. Any more, you in for a hard time.

4. Because so little wax as needed, I've calculated 1 tub of CTR will provide precisely 14,753 wax jobs to one mid size sedan. On the other hand, longevity is very short, less that Souverän. Not the best for daily drivers.

This wax ain't easy, but does provide great looks and gives you a real boutique wax feeling - all for < $ 100. The scent is unique, it's like watermelon and wintergreen mixed or something.

Great tips Swanic, I especially like this one:

After a couple "swipes" with the applicator pad, I discovered that all I needed to do was "touch" the wax. That provided more than enough to continue on with the next panel.

I experimented with a couple different towels, and I found a flat weave microfiber to work best.

Arrggghhhh !!!!

Every time I think I have decided to get rid of my wax collection and move to sealants and coating only, something like this comes out and i want to try it....
