Here's what happened to me 20 years ago at a storage facility with a gated entry. I was there with my truck and my wife was there with her car. There are intersecting roadways but only one way out. She was to my right on a different roadway when I pushed the switch to raise the bar. She darts out in front of me and I had to put on the brakes and the bar comes right down on my hood and breaks in half. Only one vehicle at a time can exit. Luckily there was no damage to my truck and the storage facility said it happens all the time and didn’t charge me for a new bar. Sold the truck - kept the wife.
