Hey what's up I have a little advice that works for me and helped

me build a huge client base. So if anything i write helps than great.

sorry I was responding to someone who was looking for advice on new business clients and hit new thread by accident and beacause it takes me so long to type I just kept going........LOL

Sorry!

This is stuff stuff you can use to build up so clients and strengten your refferals.

The first and most important thing when trying to build good referals is to do quality work, go the extra mile. That being said here we go.

After you have detailed a vehicle, wait two weeks and send the customer a thank you letter. Saying that you for the business you appreciate it and to show your appreciation you have put a few cards in the envelope that you have wrote their name on. If they pass these out, anyone who presents this card to you when you detail their vehicle you tell them yu will send them a cheque ,cash whatever for 10% of the sale of the reffereral. People will put these cards in their wallet and when the chance arrives they will give them out. Especially when you are giving them something. If you don't want to send money, maybe tell them you will give them a free outside wash or something for every 3 people they recommened. (whatever works for you)

People love the fact you took the time to send a thankyou letter, and also you are not waiting for them to call you back. If they lost your number you will never hear from them agin! You stay in touch with yur customers and let them know when the are due for a wash, wax, or a full detail. Alot of detail co. just send out their flyers and wait for people to call. This is great, but if you already have a customer that is happy with you service why not send them a letter or call them in a few months to see if they can use your service again. You know the detail their car because you have done it.

Sorry for the bad spelling and poor grammer, I clean cars not write letters......LOL

I have a ton of ways to did up new business and make a ton of money up-selling. Private message me if yu want and we'll see if I can't help you out.

I think its a good idea and theres always plenty of folks that missed it the previous 99 times it was said.

I've got a few tricks too, but quality work and value for money are the keys if you ask me.

A question for the pros out there tho - would you say your customer base was mainly male, split about even or mainly female ?

about 90% male

More females would be great to have as clients but then most drive those darn SUV's and suburbans and they are filled with junk and baby seats. That would also go against my personal motto which is "Don't detail anything larger than a Porsche!" :)
