Residue on paint and etched on water spots

Ok well I was detailing a black 2002 Q45 that is 2 weeks old, it was only washed by the dealer, no wax or buffing. I went to Klasse the car today and found a problem. There is a residue and water spots (etched on) all over the car except on the hood, roof and trunk lid(where the car had the plastic covering). U can see a distinct line on the car (even after a wash!) from where the plastic was and wasnt. Also the bumpers look extremely dull with a residue and water spots. How should i go about removing this? I did not have a buffer or camera at the time but i tried AIO, bug and tar remover, car wash, DACP (by hand), saliva (lol), clay, QD, nothing worked. I am gonna attack the bumpers next week with a wool pad and DACP, do u think this will work? What would u suggest? Thanks!

Al, I have encountered similiar issues and have found that a strong pre-cleanser will remove some of if not all of the marks. You do have to put your back into it though. I usually am using Zymol (HD Cleanse). In really tough cases the marks will refuse to come out. You may end up using the buffer in the end. Maybe they are from a sprinkler system at the dealer? Good lcuk and let us know how you make out.
