Replacement tires for BMW 328i - 205/55 R16

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I wanted to know if anyone had an opinion on replacement tires for my car. The OEM tires were Michelin Energy MXV4s, and I replaced them once with Michelin Pilots.

Now, I'm considering the Pirelli P6000 Sport Veloce and the Yokohama Avid V4.

Any thoughts regarding these choices.

Thanks in advance.

Ive never tried any of those 3. But I do have to ask why you want to get rid of the Pilots, granted they are pricey.... but they are some of the best tires I have ever had on my 850. (205/50/16)

I have tried Yoko's, Kumho, and Dunlop SP's and they dont compare to the Michelin's.

Just a thought. :nixweiss

I would suggest looking through the Tire Rack site as well. It will tell you the most popular tires that they sell for your car. Tire selection will boil down to type (ultra performance or all season performance) and what you are willing to pay.

I have Dunlop SP5000 all-season performance tires on my 323i and am very pleased. You may want to consider Bridgestone S03 Pole Position tires as well. These seem to be the hot setup for performance sedans.

Good Luck!

I concur, the GoodYear Eagle f-1's are tops. Auto Zeitrung rated it number one in wet-traction test, with an 8% shorter 60-0 braking distance than regular grooved tires.

For all season ultra-high performance, try the Pirelli PZero Nero.

TireRack sells all these.
