Replacement for Mequiars Body Solvent D-13001

For years I have been using Meguiar`s Body Solvent for removal of road tar, adhesive, and other crud that I would encounter that even APC`s and degreasers had struggled with and it would dissolve them for much easier remove. Tarminator does a pretty good job but, not quite as good as Meg`s Body Solvent. Well, Meg`s cancelled the product so I need to find something to replace it with. Can anyone recommend something as effective? Would CarPro TarX be a good substitute? Kind of expensive but if it works as well, I will buy some. Has anyone tried Pro-Sol? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

I have never used the Meguiar`s Solvent; sorry I can`t help you with that.

However, long ago, when I was an auto painter, we used Dupont Y-3919-S Prep-Sol Solvent, and it of course worked great and was auto paint shop safe...If you can find it, I would buy it...

I know nothing about Pro-Sol, or the CarPro product, sorry..

I have also used the 3M-Adhesive Remover not long ago, to help remove all that glue that is left on the paint when you remove PPF, and it worked great.. And yes, you of course, should wear nitrile gloves handling any of these things..

Good luck !
