This one was easy. Ordered the part Tuesday, it was here on Friday. Dryer still worked, but would not shut off when door was opened. With video on how to replace. That made it easy. Ordered from appliancepartspro.
I don’t know why appliance repair is so satisfying. Our electric dryer quit heating at all. Spent some time with a multimeter testing all the thermoswitches and stuff on the back, found out the timer piece was the cause. Ordered up a replacement and it was back in business. Felt awesome to not have to call a professional.
Did the same thing with my 13 year old Kenmore. Originally used a popsicle stick hot melt glued to the door to turn off the switch when I opened the door.
Finally did the correct fix and replaced the switch by watching that very same video . Got switch from Amazon.
