Removing Wind Visors

My friend recently got a 97 Tahoe for his 16th birthday and wanted some help bring it back to life. First Step was removing the hideous wind visors. Sorry for some of the pics, not the best photographer and still learning how to use all the features of it.

Removed Visors and Double Sided Tape (hardest part)

Probally should of taken a pic before taking of the double sided tape because it looked horrible, but didnt.

Only from the windows up have been touched. The rest has not even been washed.

This Tahoe was in bad shape on the inside. We took out the entire interior and steam cleaned the carpets where there were horrible coffee stains all over. The leather was very dirty and 4:1 woolite was used to clean it followed up with zymol leather conditoner. The dash (which we removed) was cleaned with 303 Cleaner then 303 Protectant. The entire interior took around 8 hours alone. We also cleaned the engine with a citrus cleaner and some brushes then sprayed Tire Foam all over and turned the engine on for 20 mintues. For those who have never done it, it may seem strange, but it comes out amazing. I dont have any before pics of the interior, but I will get some after shots. I forgot the camera when I went the first day.

I am going to finish the Tahoe later on in the summer after her first mudding trip, but she has more important plans right now. A Dic k Cepack 6.5" SuspensionLift is being added with Mickey Thompson Class II wheels wrapped in 35" BFG M/T. White Fender Flares are going to be added and the Side molding will probally be removed.

The full treatment of the car will include what has already been done to the interior plus the following...

-Diamondite on Windows to remove smoke haze left by previous owner (first time ill try it)

-Wash

-Claybar

-DACP with Red Meg Cutting Pad

-Speed Glade Polishing Pad (on order, first time user)

-Pinnacle Liquid Souvern

-NXT Protectant on Wheels and Side Molding

-Polished Chrome and Aluminum

-Wheel Wax on new wheels.

Now total cost will really be a shock to most. $100 for everything. Yes thats right, I could of charged $100 just for the interior alone, but sometimes its good to have a friend that takes detailing cars as a hobby, not a job.
