Anyone have any tips on how to remove years of wax residue of black plastic panels. I've tries bug/tar remover and a few other cleaners and no luck.

Wax Blaster Wax Remover! After applying this your want to use a trim reconditioning dye like Black Again Exterior Trim Restorer. Keep the trim conditoned and protected with 303 Aerospace. Good luck! :)

Try a 50/50 mix of water and Denatured Alcohol (you can get it at Home Depot). Put in a clean spray bottle and spray on wax residue, let it soften up the wax and remove the wax residue. You can also try a 50/50 mix of water and isopropyl alchohol (you can get it at any drug store).

Two other Quick Detailing sprays that also work very well for removing wax residue is Meguiar's # 34 Final Inspection and Eagle One Wet Wipe and Shine. Again, just spray it on, let it sit a minute and then remove the wax.

Just some other ideas for the removal part.

automatic car wash lol that will strip your wax FAST.
I think clay will help along with Klasse paint cleaner. If that dosent work try dish soap. Use a very soft dish soap and only do it once but its strong enough to stripp wax.

Thats what we do, surgical alcohol. It's cheap and it works.
