I have been asked to detail an 04 BMW Convertible with a cloth black top that has rust stains on the top from where a pipe leaked on it. If it was on the paint then I could use vinegar to dissolve it and then polish the rest off but being on the convertible top I'm a little unsure. I don't want to possibly remove the waterproofing or damage the top. Any ideas?
