Removing residue.

I recently scrubbed my carpet (used degreaser followed by a foaming cleaner) and the results were pretty good. However, I think there's some residue still in the fibers 'cause my carpet is slightly stiff.

I would steam followed by vaccuuming remove the residue?

PS, to anyone with a PC, I strongly recommend the brushing heads. It works like a charm to really scrub the carpet, and surprisingly the polisher and brush head can get into some pretty tight spaces.

Sounds if you haven't got all the soap out of the rugs....spray on some warm water and use your shop vac to extract....repeat the process until you can see the water coming out is not foaming or clear.
