Removing Petroleum from Buckets and Mitts...

Well, the aftermath of detailing an aircraft is that everything I bought specifically for the job has now been covered in petroleum. I would like to save at least the buckets, so I was curious what all of you use to remove the petroleum from your tools, and hopefully clean mitts as well. I have tried dawn, which isn't nearly powerful enough - and I don't want to waste a bunch of solvent by soaking my buckets and mitts in the stuff, stinking up my garage.

A product recommended on another board a few months back was a stain removing spray, I believe a gel spray, that cleaned them right up. It was supposedly found in the grocery store cleaning isle. For clarification, it wasn't for actual detailing, just to clean the mitts.

Regardless, let me know.
