Removing a QD?

CharlesW

The Rainmaker
Due to expected time constraints, I did a quick S&W of the van and applied Meguiar's Final Detail, (The one with the silicone).
A change of plans now allows me time to apply a sealant, in this case it would be Opti-Seal.
Will another wipe down with S&W remove the Final Detail?
Since I have always felt that a QD is only good for a short time, usually the next wash, it seems like the S&W should take care of the QD, but..... :dunno:

Charles...I had the same thing here...clean the car using QD...then get the bug to do more...I've applied the sealant on top, with no issues...only thing that I would be concerned with is your temps...but just to make sure a quick S&W wouldn't hurt to just insure it bonds.

It's supposed to be in the mid 40's today and 10 minutes with my kerosene heater will have the garage at 60+ so the temperature shouldn't be a problem.
I will have driven the vehicle about 60 to 70 miles before I can work on it so the S&W was going to be part of whatever I do.
Actually, since I will probably be doing it again in 4 to 6 weeks, some loss of durability shouldn't be a big deal anyway. :D
