Reconditioned PC's

Any benefit to staying with a new one as opposed to saving a ton of money on a reconditioned one? I will be using it for personal/friends use. Don't make my living with it. Thanks!!

Actually I just looked on the PC website and the price differnece is only $20. No reason not to buy a new one then!! Sorry for the waste of a question guys!! :aww: Now all I need to do is figure out which pads I should get and I am all set!! I will do a search for polishing pads but does anyone have any suggestions?

I hear good things about Propel P2 and Lake Country. Lake Country is coming out with new "dimpled" ones. I haven't tried either yet, I just got PC (well, G100) myself too.

Nice, G100 comes with lifetime warranty, how much did you have to pay?

It was an early birthday gift :) so price was right. Otherwise, I don't think I would be paying them practically double for what is same product as PC plus lifetime warranty. I am a casual user.

ADS has a lifetime warranty on a NEW one for 149.99....

Only if you get warranty honored by ADS. Meguiar's does not honor warranty on G100s that are not obtained directly from Meguiar's. Says so straight on Meguiar's Online. I've also double checked this with Meguiar's rep.

I was checking out the G100 and it looks like a PC 7424. Is that correct assumption?

Polisher wise they are same (both have same counterweight size included too). Difference is, aside from warranty, in the packaging. 7424 comes with Porter Cable's 6" Foam Polishing Pad (#54745). G100 comes with one Meguiar's W64DA backing plate and one W8006 soft foam polishing pad.
