Recommended clear film for chrome trim along lower rocker panel

I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit which has a chrome strip along the lower rocker panel. Due to my wife's size, she is always rubbing up against it and I am noticing scratches from the dirt getting ground into the strip from her getting in and out of the Jeep. What I would like is a recommendation for a roughly 1" wide clear film strip/roll that will hold up to the elements and not discolor if installed over the chrome strip for futher wear protection. Any good recommendations regarding brands?

Go with one of the self healing films, Xpel Ultimate, Suntek, or 3M Performance film. Just have a shop cut and install it for you.
