I just purchased the 7336 and am now shopping for the pads. I'm looking on exceldetail.com but I'm not sure what to get. Can anyone recommend some essential supplies to get started?
I do not know the kit packages so you can decide on those. If I were to purchase some pads, which i will soon as the new pads are coming out, it would be these.
Orange- one for spot corrrection of defects
yellow- two of these because I am not able to get thru a whole detail without some clogging on the pad. I find changing easier than cleaning when I am detailing.
green-Two of these for the same reason as the yellow pad.
Blue- I have one...wish i had two. you can decide.
Grey- Just one. Yet, if you are like me you will need two because I am always getting to close to license plates or badges. they really wreak havoc on pads.
Do not forget to get a flexible pad holder. I have the five inch. Have the six inch on order.
Propel has a good pad. Be careful with getting caught up in the purchasing frenzy such as I have.
Lake country makes very good pads. Albeit very expensive in comparison to Propel.
I would recommend getting both the 4" and 6" pads. I would get yellow, orange, and green (however many you may think you need) 4" pads and green, blue, and grey (again, however many u think u need) 6" pads. The smaller, more dense (and therefore more aggressive) pads are for abrasive polishing to remove swirls and other defects. The large pads are for cleaners/sealants/waxes/etc. Most of the PC users here will say that they really like having both 4" and 6" pads.
