Recommend a PF2500-like polish with a tad more bite?

As the title suggests, I`d like to have a polish like Menzerna 2500 but with a bit more cut. Similar, in terms of performance, behavior, and predictability.

Reflect? Profaline? HD?

man ive been trying to et some 2.5 for a while here. its been sold out for quite some time.

might have to order it direct from pb

really wanted the ssr sample kit (used ssr2 the other week- phenomenal product)

I really like adapt on a uhs pad - great cut- fantastic finish
no mess

edit. just checked the chart and now im wanting to try AAT finishing polish + uhs pad as I bet it will leave more gloss and cut almost the same (they are 1 apart)-- will try sunday on my friends car, both of them.. and 50/50 it
 
Are you going for a little more cut, if so try a rougher pad and the same polish and save some money. Maybe a microfiber pad for more cut depending on the paint hardness.

Yes it is! After a tricky start, HD Adapt has been doing wonders. It finishes down so well that I kept wiping with IPA in disbelief, thinking it had fillers. Dusting is basically nill, and it`s working so much better than Menzerna 1000 for me. It`s basically an intensive polish that blurs the line between compound and polish.

About that "tricky start" I had, it does take some getting used to, but after one small panel I was off to the races. Here`s some tips for using HD Adapt:


Let the pad and speed do the work. Excessive pressure seems to cause micro-marring without necessarily increasing cut - if that makes sense.

It dries quickly. Although "less-is-more" is the mantra these days, I found that a few extra drops provided better results. I was using 5 pea-sized drops on a 5” pad, or a decently thick "X" pattern when I was doing a larger section.

A single squirt of detail spray on a dry pad is recommended, and after cleaning the pad between sections.

It’s not as pad dependent as most other polishes. For example, pink seemed to cut just as well as orange. Even a green 4” worked great in an area with overspray and rain etching.
