Let's get the disgusting stuff out of the way first!

1986 Toyota truck. It is at the deer lease most of the year and up at the owner's roofing company during the summer. They mostly use it as a 'gopher' vehicle so they wanted it cleaned up inside. No point in doing much to the exterior, the paint is way beyond anything but a repaint.

This is what I started with:

After about 2 hours with Woolite/water and pouring water into the carpeting and extracting it out:

BTW, yes, I know the images are reversed. That is how they are on the picture CD and I don't feel like going back down and having them redo it this very instant! ;)

-----------------------------

1991 Lexus LS400. Not too bad of shape for its age. Meguiars #9 with a polishing pad and EX w/carnauba:

------------------------------

2003 Escalade ESV. Regular customer, last done with VM and EX-P about 4 months ago (March) and it was up to Colorado and back in June. Some light scratches, etc. #80 with a polishing pad and EX w/carnauba.

2003 Dodge Ram 1500. Regular customer, about twice a year for details. #80 by hand in his office's parking garage (I took the pic when he got home while I was detailing his wife's Suburban). Topped with EX w/carnauba.

2001 Nissan Pathfinder. Twice a month wash customer, has me wax the truck every 10-12 weeks or so. #80 Speed Glaze with a polishing pad and EX w/carnauba.

2002 Toyota Sequoia, owned by a friend. Normally his daughter and wife wash it...with dish soap.

Definitely needed some polishing but otherwise in decent shape. #80 with a polishing pad and EX w/carnauba....notice the trend on black paint? As much as I like EX-P, I like the regular EX more on black.

And now for something completely different. 2002 Jaguar Type S. Weekly wash customer, waxed every 3 months. I used Vanilla Moose with a polishing pad and topped with Carnauba Moose. I have a full car shot, but with the way the shadows were that day, it came out too dark because of the sunlight behind the car.

Oh well, here is a hood shot:

Damn...awesome as usual :D

I agree with you that EX is amazing on black. Just deep and wet! Have you tried Natty's yet? Specifically over EX?

How long are you getting EX to last for where you are and how is the EX-P holding up as well?

I still love the VM/CMW combo...I topped EX-P with CMW on my girlfriend's Imola Red Saab and Damn! instantly added more depth and wetness.

That Jag's hood is nuts! So #80 seems to be your new fav....can you compare a bit to VM? Im almost out of it (love it btw) but if 80 is a better mild polish I might go with that. Is it going to be discontinued because of the VOC Regulations?

I'll give a quick synopsis on #80 for you BlueRanger.

It is slightly more agressive than SFP and a lil less than DACP. Use it with different pads/pressures/speeds for varying results. It cuts hard at first, then breaks down rather quickly to a very fine polish. It's an excellent one-step polish that can be waxed/sealed right after words. I wouldn't compare it to VM though as VM is a very light polish.

FWIW: It's my go to polish :)

BlueRanger-#80 is more aggressive than VM, so I can use it to remove defects VM can't. It also buffs down real nice. You don't have to use a glaze prior to waxing with #80, you can go straight to wax. I use both #80 and VM (and at times together) since I don't always need to go more aggressive than VM.

GSRstilez-I am getting 4-6 months of beading from the regular version of EX, which is more than I expected based on some reviews of the product (as usual, reviewer's results varied) but pretty much all agreed EX w/carnauba lasts longer when you use Polish w/carnauba as a base. Seems to hold true when you use Vanilla Moose as well.

BTW, I am getting 4-6 months of beading and decent slickness with Carnauba Moose as well. Since you have it on your girlfriend's car, please monitor the durability as I am really suprised at how long it has lasted for me. I am just curious if it is an abnormality based on the relatively wax friendly enviroment of Dallas and QEW as my primary wash, or other's in different areas of the country (world?) get similar results.

Scott: Her fenders have nice lips to them leaving a noticeably more wetlook due to the reflection of the sky off them so that will help with how long it lasts. It is in a pretty rough environment here (either in direct sunlight or under trees) so I will monitor it. So far so good :D

Scottwax,

What do you prefer on tires?

Good ol' Original Shine Armor All. It has been reformulated and when applied with an Eagle One Tire Swipe, you get outstanding results. I've been playing around with Meguiars new Hyper Dressing (Detailer line) at a 3:1 dillution. Pretty good too.

Scott, no extractor used in the interior ???

I don't have one. I can't find one small enough that still has enough power to work well. After scrubbing the carpets down real good, I poured some water into them and wetvacced it back out. Works very well when the main problem is ground in dirt and dust.
