First up, the cherry :D

Detailed this one for dschribs (Autopian). It's a 1968 Chevy Camaro 327 Convertible...SHOWCAR. This car was immaculate when I got there. The whole car was mint but the paint had light to moderate swirls and etching throughout. To most, the car wouldn't need a buffing, but being Autopians, both Dan and I knew it did need it. Final processes:

-PB S+W

-Unknown compound (from ebpcivicsi; testing blind for him) via rotary @ 1500 rpm on a LC cutting pad

-The Big "O" Polish via rotary and LC Polishing pad via rotary and LC Polishing Pad on vertical surfaces

-Menzerna FPII via rotary and LC Polishing pad via rotary @ 1500 rpm on horizontal surfaces

No sealant/wax as he is doing VM/Souveran x 3 before a car show on Saturday. Dan promised to take more pics then :).

Next, I detailed these rims for a client with a slammed and modded Chevy S10. I will be detailing that truck in the near future. Anyways, 20" Boyd Coddington's in the rear and 18's in the front. Final processes:

-PB S+W

-DP Final Polish by hand

-Zaino Z2 x 2 by hand

Next, the $100 Bronco.

No, I did not charge $100. He paid $100 for it :D. It belongs to my girlfriend's brother. The truck was covered in mold and moss when he bought it last summer. He ended up washing it with simple green to clean it up. He was away this weekend and I got bored so I figured, what the hell. Final processes:

-NXT Wash with Acid Pre-treat (still working on this procedure, so more later on it)

-Meguiar's #66 via rotary and LC Polishing Pad @ 1500 rpm

-Meguiar's Hyper Dressing on rims and tires (wheel acid to clean)

I will be monitoring the durability for #66 as a one stepper.

Last up, the durability updates...

FK1 Pink Wax at 1 month on my car. The look is still very much there and the thing beads like crazy. No etching or anything. Slickness is down but I believe thats due to 2 NXT washes. NXT has always robbed slickness for me. Also, the pollen has been INSANE as has the rain. So far, I'm happy with how its holding up.

After QEW and Adam's DS.

Poorboy's Wheel Sealant at one month. The look has dwindled VERY slightly but slickness is still there as is ease to clean. Literally a wipe with a soapy mitt cleans them up. After QEW and Adam's DS.

Good Evening.

the camaro looks great...and that truck...i dont even know what to say...great work. and your car looks good as always

Great work Sean. That Bronco is unreal. What a tranformation....You might want to think about a Xtreme Detailing Contest contestant :D

Sean

First off - I want to thank you for the excellent work you did on my Camaro today. It came out incredible. There's nothing like being able to take the day off and watch someone else work!! Seriously though, excellent job. As expected, the sun came out about 10 minutes after you left my house!!! I managed to apply a coat of Vanilla Moose and one coat of Souvern after you left. It totally brought out the color and wetness in the paint...I'll post some pics of the show on Saturday.

I was extremely pleased with not only your professional work ethic but the results you were able to achieve. Pride in a job well done is a rare commodity today you should be commended on your attention to detail as well as your professionalism.

Thanks again....

Dan

the camaro's ready to kick butt at the show, at least for best paint.

the bronco - that's some transformation for a one-stepper. :xyxthumbs

your integra - looks great as usual.

:bow

The Teg is glowing as usual. and the new wheels still look beautiful. I love the wheel sealant and still have slickness at 2 months on the ES.

Very impressive! I know what you mean as far as the NXT causing a loss in slickness. What would you recommend to use that would not cause this? Or maybe you have used something that adds a slicker feel? Just curious!

Details look great!!

I have always found the NXT wash to ENHANCE slickness on my vehicles....one of the reasons I like it so much. :nixweiss Maybe it is the difference in water here...

Excellent details as always Sean!!!

As far as NXT reducing slickness, I noticed that in a day or two the slickness is back  Don't ask me. Keep an eye on the paint and see if you experience the same thing.

Although I have 3 coats of Pink Wax on the car.

Thanks everyone.

Pat: I would if I had more pics, but there were still swirls overall in the paint. I am very happy how it turned out as is the owner, so I think that's all that really matters.

Dan: Good Luck this Saturday. It was nice meeting you.

COBRyan: I have had better luck with Poorboy's SS&S. It didn't leave any residue and kept slickness very similar to before the wash.

Joe: Must be...I always felt it left a residue.

Thomas: Will do. It's almost like a residue was left on the surface.

The Camaro is stunning, the Bronco looks like you put it in a time machine and took it back to when it was new and your car looks terrific as always. :bow

Thanks for the durability updates too. A great initial appearance is nice but even better when it lasts. :)

As usual Sean your work looks great. Must have been fun working on a show car with great paint. Maybe I have been in the dark lately but I have not heard of the PB wheel sealant, can you tell me more? And Dan, it is fun to watch someone really improve your stuff.

megs#66( proline cleaner wax right?) = wow

Hey so did you end up using Goo Gone, or 3M Adhesive Remover to get those stickers off? Or just a heatgun or something?

Ditto. That Bronco looks like you pulled it out of a marsh. The afters are unreal! I bet the owner about sh** his pants. Did he ask if you ran it up to Maaco for a quick paint job? (LOL).

Great write up too. I love seeing your pics & write up's. They're always helpful.
