Received My Meg's Order Today

I got my order in from Meguiar's today. Only took 2 days!! Since I haven't been able to find the NXT Wash anywhere in town I ordered some. Man, this is like no soap I have ever tried before. This stuff is very thick and it suds FOREVER!! It felt really smooth and it did a great job. I also ordered some of their trim detailer while I was at it and I am happy with it. It makes my mirrors and wiper bezel look so much better. I also ordered some of the High Endurance Tire shine. I got the high gloss, I really like this stuff. I have tried lots of sprays and even the Meg's Hotshine (that I also liked b/c it is quick and mess free ) but I like this stuff a lot better. It looks just right to me. It puts on a nice dark color and gives a shine, but it wasn't tooooo shiny and it didn't look "plasticky" (if that makes sense).

The only real test left for me is to see how well the tire shine and trim detailer hold up for me!

I wish I had before and afters of the tires and mirrors, because they look so much nicer now.

ive used nxt wash now for the past couple months, and i like it a lot, but i think gold class is a little bit more slicker, but doesnt have the suds nxt has... the high endurance in my opinion never worked... the high gloss last a couple of days and after that just gives it a dressed look thats lighter than a matte. more like grey mixed with black.. (that was a crappy description). slinged every time i used it, even when i would buff it off, let dry over night, ect... ive used it on both set of tires. continentals which were very soft and good at absorbing and the set i have now (forgot the name) which is more of a harder rubber, and doesnt absorb greasy tire dressings too well, in both cases it slinged. get u'reself a water based dressing. if u want over the counter dressing that looks good, wont sling, try dupont teflon tire or the new reformulated armor all protectant...

hoping to here how the trim protectant goes tho..

How do you find the NXT Wash works on cars with a carnauba wax? I had put #16 on my truck, then a week or two later washed with NXT and it seemed to strip away the slickness. I thought maybe the NXT Wash is designed to work in conjunction with NXT Wax, but that seems a bit far-fetched. I believe NXT Wash has been reformulated to a reddish color for 2005, which would explain why many places had the original purple-blue NXT Wash on clearance.

The Hi-endurance tire gel is pretty good stuff overall, except it is a stubborn product to use on tires with raised white letters, and it has a tendency to get trapped in crevices around raised letters (speed rating, size, etc), but it really does last quite a while if you don't rub up against any curbs. I've since switched to using Gold Class vinyl/rubber protectant which is more lotion-like.

I have yet to test my app. of high endurance for sling yet, so I'll inspect that situation this morning after I leave for work. The high endurance doesn't have the gloss that I thought it would, but it looked good with first app. So, I'll see how it holds up after a coupla days. If not, then I might go back to Hotshine or I really wanna try that Poorboy's Bold n Bright.

@Truzoom - Yea, I can see how the high endurance would be a pain with whitewall tires, but fortunately for me I don't have any. It did take some extra work around the speed ratings and what not (as you mentioned), but it wasnt too bad for me. I just like it because I think it goes on more evenly for me than most things I've tried. After this I wanna try out the PB tire dressing, because every pic I see with people who have used it, their tires look great.

Also, I didn't notice any "stripping" or damaging qualities with NXT yet, but I will keep this in mind as I use it more and more. After one wash I don't see any diff., but you may be right - so I'll watch for this.

I got my order yesterday too. I got some microfiber applicators and a 1/2 gal of the new #21. I'll be trying it out tomorrow. I'd like to know how the trim detailer holds up against rain. Everything I've ever tried streaks when it gets wet.

I tested out the high endurance today. Still looks good and I got no sling whatsoever. I have a 40 mile commute to work and back, which makes 80 all-together and I drive speeds near 80mph so if it were going to sling on me it would have. With that bein said, I am really happy with this stuff.

But I still wanna try the bold n bright. I hate having to try all the good stuff. There's so many good products that I can't decide and I wanna try em all!!!!!!
