this car is now 3 yrs old (almost) and the paint is starting to show the wear and tear. Ive never used any kind of detailing kit before other than just washing it with car wash soap.... I need a polish/deep cleaner to repair some of the swirl marks and get a couple coats of wax on it but I can never get the car clean enough to wax it properly and by chance I discovered your website yesterday. Where I live there isnt too much in the way of car cleaner shops here so I was planning on ordering everything online. I was looking at the 3M swirl mark remover.. Is that a good prodect and what waxes work well with it?

thanks for any help...

Well your problem is the dirt is in your clear coat.

1.) Use a clay bar (mothers works well) to pull the dirt out.

2.) Use a polish, 3M swirl mark remover is a really good product and can be found at just about any local auto store. If that product is not strong enough you can step up to 3M Finesse It.

3.) If you don't detail much you can use a sealent that will give you a shine just as nice as a top end wax while last months instead of a few weeks at most. We use BlackFire, Liquid Glass, Klasse, Zaino and Meguiars Polymer sealent. If you don't want to mail order, check your local auto store when you get the clay and polish for Liquid Glass or Meguairs polymer sealent. They have an awesome shine and they are no oil based which is why they last so long.
