Rear tire area

I have a 99 mustang Gt that is black. I have 11 inch rims on the back and I have some tar and other debris behind the wheels. Not real bad but it is there. What is the best product to try and clean this area up and get it as smooth as possible. I have had the car buffed and that removed a lot but I am trying to get serious about detailing my own ride. I will try the most populoar product.

Do you mean you want to clean the inner drum of the wheel? How wide are your spokes?

I usually manage to clean every part of my wheels thoroughly during each tire rotation, and afterwards I seal the wheels up with some Meguiar's NXT so the next cleaning is easier.

Stoner's Tarminator really seems to melt the "burnout effect" crap away. Spray it on and pressure wash off. Consider buying some plastic razor blades to help remove stubborn bits of tar and rubber - solvents alone often don't do the trick.

I just used Tarminator the first time this past weekend. It worked great: lots better than my old Gunk Bug & Tar remover.

11 inch rims?
