2004 Civic EX magnesium
Not sure how it happened, but the rear driver-side passenger seat in my 2004 Honda Civic is ruined/soiled/something.
Now, this is not a super-expensive sports car so I'm not that worried. Plus, I never sit there so I'm not as concerned (usually it's my nephew or a car seat for my nieces).
Come to think of it, maybe there was some dirt or something on those car seats....
Anyway, the plushness is gone: the entire "panel" seems "hardened" and there is no "give" in the seat when you press with your fingers as with the other 3 seats. I can't tell if it got worn somehow, but I think that something got into the seat and hardened.
Outside of a car seat, the only thing I can think of is my telescope suitcase which sometimes touches grass (usually I put a towel on the seat first). But that wouldn't ruin a whole seat, would it?
So far I've tried water and some diluted 303. The seats are cloth, I've been thinking about using full-strength 303 since it it ruins the seat, it's not critical (again, it's a rear seat and we're not talking a Porsche here).
Any suggestions appreciated. At first, judging by the look, it looked like some dirty water/mud had hardened (that's why I thought about my suitcase which gets bits of dirt from time to time. But I've put it back there for 15 months without anything happening).
