Ready to buy. SSR question

First, let me thank everyone for their advice to get me to this point. This is an awesome resource site.

I am picking up a CE rotary this weekend and am planning to go with these pads:

With all those pads I think I could get away with just SSR2.5 and SSR1 right?

I already have Zaino from last year. Is there anything else I should pick-up?

I'm confused by the different terms like sealer/glaze/LSP. I figure Zaino is the LSP, do I need a sealer too?

Thats the wrong kit for a Chicago Electric Rotary .

Call them and ask if they can give you that kit , BUT swap the adapter with this one http://www.autogeek.net/e206.html 5/8" one .

As far as what products you need , we don't know what defects your paint has to be able to recommend the proper product for you

If you scroll down to the bottom it says it comes with the quick-connect adaptor. I called them to make sure and they said right now it comes with both. I will double-check before I place my order to be 100% sure.

This is my problem:

Whilst in Florida I let my nephew (who started at a detailer) try to buff out some of the light scratches on my black 2000 Eclipse. I know it was stupid but I thought he knew what he was doing.

He must've used too high a speed or something because he scratched the hell out if it. Now I have all these white 'c' shaped scratches in my finish. They don't catch my fingernail so I'm hoping they are just in the clearcoat.

When I see the car in the sun, there are these reflected lines that I can only describe as a compressed 'sine' wave (ununununu) a few inches apart and running the height of the car. It looks so bad it makes me want to cry.

I think what papi_jay meant was to make sure you ask autogeek to replace the adapter from that dual action kit you choose with the 5/8" rotary adapter. The kit does come with a free adapter but it's for a portercable. If you want the adapter to work on your rotary, get the 5/8" adapter.

They said it comes with both the 5/8 and the DA adaptors right now but I will check before I order. The saleslady didn't sound too knowledgable and may have been telling me what I wanted to hear.

You were both correct. I called them again and it does only come with the DA adaptor, dang. You guys using the Edge 2000 pads, do you use 8" or 6"? I only want to shell out for one kind and if I can't get a kit then would I REALLY need the yellow medium-cutting? Wouldn't the green light-cutting with SSR2.5 be enough to take the defects I have described?
