RE: Menzerna IP working time.....

Sorry if I'm in wrong place, but I thought I'd add.......water should NOT be used to prep your pad. Instead try ONR/QD strength or clay lube. Works fine with IP/LC orange. Just did my wifes DD.............pics coming

BEFORE........

after...

ANYWAY........hope that helps One pass with 5 1/2 " LC orange pad w/PC IP

The results speak for themselves and I can't argue w/ that. I prime my pad by moving it along a small section w/ the machine off. I've read that the wax and silicones in qds will reduce friction heat or cause surface smearing. Either way priming by smearing works for me.

Depending on humidity, I'll also prime w/no lube and just spread polish in 2x2 area, then turn PC to 2/ spread again, Then dial up 5 on the PC and work from there. Sometimes lubing the pad works better/ sometimes not IME. Whatever you have to do to make it work. Pad/polish combo's are extremely important!

Props sir, I've been real pushy when it comes to not propping with water and Menz. It's terrible. I stay away from QDs, and I'm working on something to the extend of the Menzerna carrier, mineral oil and glycerin, just as a prep/lubricant in case it is needed. It would be most effective.

Looks like you meant to post this in the original thread but instead made a new topic.
