re-applying Zaino Fuzion PC (ZPC)

I am going to be reapplying ZPC to my white 550i. I recently washed/clayed/ZPC (white pad) and Z2Pro (2 coats with ZFX). I still see some swirls and it doesnt 'pop'.



Rather than try other polishes at this point, I am going to re-polish with the ZPC but use an Orange pad and take more time.



Once this is complete, would you expect me to have to run over the car with ZPC and a white pad?!?! I plan on 'cleaning' after polishing with DG 501 and a black finishing pad prior to Z2Pro application.



Lastly, prior to any new polishing, what is the best procedure? Wash with Dawn again to remove the Z2 (if it does...) or just wash normally and start polishing ... or???

ZPC is not going to do it for you, you might have to step up to another polish that has more cut to get what your looking for.

I was considering getting Menz SIP and Nano...but then I have ZPC just laying around...or I could use the SIP and then use the ZPC?



Argh. It is only $$$
 
Yes, I would try SIP with a white or orange pad. Maybe 2 passes should do it. And then a IPA wipe down afterwards. You don't have to use ZPC after, but ZAIO will be better to clean the paint up before any Z2 or Z5 is apply IMO.

I was told DG 501 is a great cleaner...especially with white.



Isnt a less aggressive polish recommended between SIP and final coat? other than a cleaner like DG501 or ZAIO?
 
Make sure to do at least 3 straight IPA wipedowns after SIP to ensure that what you see is what you get. Do a test area first. I personally would do ZPC after the SIP and wipedowns.



No need to remove any existing Z2/5pro before polishing. Dawn would not remove the Z2/5pro anyway.
 
Yes you can use DG 501 , I didn't see that, If it was me , SIP with orange pad, 106FA white pad then ZPC or ZAIO. Then after all that you can use Z2 x 2 on it and finish up with Z8. And please do your IPA wipe downs after SIP and 106.
 
I have used ZPC and an orange pad with excellant results on a black mustang. I used a pc and 4 inch pads. I followed up with green pads and complted it with Z-2. I thought it looked great.
 
I wanted to followup on this thread.



I have ordered an orange and black pad as well as some Menzerna SIP.



I will be using SIP and the orange pad, then ZPC with white pad, then DG-501 with black pad...then Z2Pro.



WHEW. It will be GLASS.



At what step should I wipe down with IPA 50/50 to check for swirls? After SIP or ZPC?



Anyone see a reason to wipe the car down in between any steps with something like DG AW?
