Hi all,

Let me know what you think of my planned detail job I have lined up for my truck, Its new and the paint is perfect. I want to get some protectant on it.

Vehicle: 2002 Chevy Avalanche Indigo blue metallic paint.

Product lineup: 1) Light wash with a mild carwash

2) Klasse All In One, 1 coat

3) Klasse Sealer/Glaze, 2 coats

4) A day or two later Top it off with a carnuba

wax (Griots?)

5) A quick detailer after washes and between

polish/wax sessions.

Questions, 1) The paint is probably as cured as it will get so

the Klasse product should be fine...........right?

2)What QD is recommended so that future coats of

Klasse wont be affected?

3) With the paint in such good shape would there

be a benifit to multiple coats of AIO?

4) Do I need to re apply AIO before each coat of S/G

if I use a QD?

Thanks,

Don

it's really your call on the AIO

if you feel (literally) that your car needs it, or try a lower spot and see if the applicator gets dirty

it seems like you're prepared and willing to put some quality work in it. If this is the case go for at least 3 (I like 5) coats of SG. It really lengthens the durability of the Klasse not to mention if you do it right off the bat, it minimizes contaminents if you layer sparadically. Then after that you can layer as much other wax on top of it for up to 6 months

Many people use Meguiars Final inspection for Klasse. CMA has a acrylic QD called Sonus that is supposed to mesh well with Klasse.

But after you add a topper it's pretty much your call. When I use Blitz carnauba, I like One Grand Show Off (same manufacturer). I imagine most waxes have "counterpart" QD's that would work well.

Finally, I think I really like Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo with Klasse, keeps it smooth.

Happy detailing.

The paint is cured when it leaves the factory since they have ovens. So no problem using AIO....

I like the Sonus QD as Steve mentioned with Klasse .... but others will work too...and if worried about bonding issues just wash truck prior to applying a new layer of SG.

If the paint is clean and swirl free than 1 layer of AIO should be good ecspecially since you plan on applying some SG ..... as Steve said 3-5 layers of SG is optimum.

SG should be applied on top of the last layer of AIO you use then apply SG on top of itself for subsequent layers. Just make sure the paint is clean before applying another layer and with Klasse I prefer to do this after a wash.
