RainX durability

I know I've heard some people say that RainX's durability sucks, so here is a pic on RainX after 2 months 10 days. BTW I haven't had any chattering from the wipers.

Cool, glad you like it. Durability, hey, the stuff never wears off. My girlfriend put her last treatment on her windshield about two years ago and her wiper blades still chatter with every stroke. I hate the stuff. Wish I new a way to get it off for good. Just waxing my windshield makes the rain bead up and run off, and no chatter. RainX was a novel idea when it hit the streets some years ago, but it's side effects seem to last forever. I won't be using it on my cars............Tom
 
One thing about a windshield treatment is when you are on a dark rainy night and the incoming car's headlights glare on your windshield (wiper smear) and you can't see nothing and you got to slow way down.
 
I dont get it. I have been using rain x on my windows about once every month. The rain beads up.. And when your at speed 50+ it rolls off. So you dont even use your windshield wipers. I laugh when i see people with the wipers on high speed or even constant.. The most I use the wipers on is fast delay, water sheets off. Oh and they dont chatter... So much less strain on your eyes without wipers going.. I dont have a residue on my windows or think i dont. The clarity is fine.. What is the downside?
 
It does a good job at moving water and its good effects do last forever, but it seems to leave a greasy glare and wiper streaks...look at it in the sun. Unfortunately, those side effects seem to last forever,too...no matter what you do.

I have never had that problem.
 
What glass cleaner do you use? Both Eagle 20/20 and NXT Glass cleaner give the same effect as RainX on their own.

I usually use Perfect Detail, but never had to clean the windows on this (I dont drive it ;) ).

+1. I use 20/20 and don't use a rainx type treatment. Really a waste of time to me.
