Rain X Bug and Tar didn't do the job, now what?

So I just got back from a close to 1200 mile road trip. 90% of the driving was highway miles, so you can imagine what my front and windshield looked like.

I picked up Rain-x Bug and Tar remover today. And though it helped, it didn't do the job I expected. I still have some bug grime.

What now? Will the claybar do the trick? Is this just a bad product?

Thanks in advance.

I've always made my own, 16 oz.bottled or distilled water 10 oz. of isopropyl alcohol, 2 oz. white vinegar, 2 oz. ammonia. If it works we'll bottle it for sale, PM

A bug sponge might be ok on glass but not on paint. I usually get the insects off if I start the wash by wetting them down with the hose, spray some APC, wash the rest off the car and now and then spray the bugs with the hose, eventually they will come off with the mitt or sponge, never needed any special bug remover or even a claybar for bugs. But a good layer off sealant or wax really helps getting them off.
