rain stains on mirrors

My wife blindly bought a 02 kia sportage. It has really bad rain stains on the outside mirrors,Its really bad and i tried 3 or 4 different cleaners.,nothing is working...a little help please
 
You can try a claybar using window washing fluid as a lubricant, or 0000 (very, very fine) steel wool with window washing fluid, or barkeeper's friend (available at most grocery or supermarket stores). If you try one of the last two solutions mentioned, I suggest trying it on a small area first before doing the whole mirror to get your technique down.
 
If it's on the paint and a cleaner can't get rid of it, you've probably got paint etching. Polishing may rmove most if not all of it. What cleaners did you use? Without knowing what you've used we can't make any recommendations. Try some heavier stuff like 3m rubbing compound, or if it's just tough minerals try pure white vinegar.
 
I will note that the solutions I posted above were for glass as the OP mentioned side mirrors and nothing about paint.
