"Quik Detailer" type product concentrate?

SHhhhh

Tried searching for this, no luck.

I have been going through a lot of my Mequiars "Quik Detailer" lately with claybaring and keeping my car clean between washes. My question is this: does anyone sell a concentrate of a QD type of product, because buying the 16oz Meguiars is getting expensive!

thanks guys for helping out a newbie! ONR it is then. I had no idea I would be going through this much of the stuff!

where were you on that one, Mitch!!!???!!!

I like ONR as well and that was my first thought, but if you haven't tried 425 it's well worth a shot. Not a concentrate, but it does come in gallons. I definitely like it better than Megs for most purposes.

keep the megs bottle though, no better bottle on the market IMO - just rinse it out really well and fill it with whatever you need....

Would using the ONR as a final wipedown be better than using a IPA mix? I'm running low on my QD and was thinking of using ONR as my QD and final wipedown. Would it remove the LSP on the car?

Nope. I'd recommend IPA or Prepsol.

You lost me...the purpose of a QD and an IPA wipedown are completely different...aren't they? With a QD you want to preserve the LSP...with an IPA wipe you are trying to remove it...so how can you replace both with one product?

Quik Shine Gallon Size

This is concentrated and you mix water with it. It comes in a gallon container with a little bit of concentrate in the container. You fill the rest with water. This is great because it is a lot cheaper to ship than a full gallon.

Hey, you ought to put that information in the product description! How much is actually in the gallon container?

whoops i guess i never really got what it mean to do a IPA wipedown. I was going to say if i had like left over wax on the paint and i wante dto clean it up (streaks).

I only remember there being about an inch in the bottom of the QS jug. BTW, QD's are largely water, as you can see in this example (just like many other cleaners, etc., for example the Meg's Detailer glass cleaner dilutes 10:1).

Only 1/4" in the jug is enough concentrate to make a full gallon? Whoa, that is some concentrated stuff!!!

Or did you mean 1/4 of a gallon?

It might be a little more but it is not much. I will check for you guys. It is under an inch for sure though.

I'm getting confused, I read that as 1/4 full, and I know it was way less than that, I'll defer to Danase, being that he has a basement (or something) full of them, and I think he sent me mine, anyway!

No, not 1/4 full. I meant about 1/4 inch full from the bottom of the jug. It might be a little more but not much.

Sorry for the confusion.
