Hi everyone,
I just ordered the PC/Sonus package from Autopia thanks to all of the great advice on this site. I plan on gaining experience on my wifes car, a 2001 white Nissan Maxima. It's got 80K miles on it and has never been machine polished. There are numerous scratches/swirls due to the fact that my wife took it to drive through car washes.
Despite that, there aren't any (what I consider to be) deep scratches or blemishes.
When I get my PC kit, I plan on doing the following:
1) Wash with Dawn
2) Clay
3) re-wash
4) PC with SFX-2 (unsure of what pad to use?) Orange maybe?
Once this is completed I want to apply Zaino to seal everything. My question is, will Zaino bond to the surface if it's been treated with SFX-2? I assume it will since the surface will be perfectly clean at that point. I hope I don't need to wash it a 3rd time! Last question: I'll probably apply the Zaino Z2 by hand (unless you think I should use the PC) but I'm wondering if you guys use the PC with a buffing bonnet on low speed to remove the zaino?
