Quick Question, Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish

I want to use this on my chrome exhaust tips on my X5. I dunno if its real chrome or chrome plated or whatever the case maybe.



i read the label and it says not recommended for chrome.



Will i have any issues with this? or should i just toss it and go with something else?
 
The problem with using this stuff on chrome is that the polish in them may put swrill marks on chrome. I think the tips on your BMW are made of stainless steel and the polish should work fine, but i'm not 100% sure. You can try a small spot to test it and see if you like the results. Mother does sell a chrome polish that you can get at a local parts store and its under $5.
 
i used it on the tips anyways, worked fine! i also used it on my brass rail at home, WOW , didnt though it was possible to clean that.
