Will M105 or SIP strip the coat of protection I have(Blackfire WD) on the car or do I need to use 50/50 alcohol/water to strip the wax before I begin polishing?

It will strip it. Do you need to clay before polishing?

Yes, it will strip it. Some LSPs can make polishes gummy and foul up pads fast. Collinite is nasty in my experience, for example. It may be better to strip it first.

lsp will definately get stripped without a doubt. It makes no sense to not strip it before polishing though. That way you can see what you're up against.

Unless it has some extremely durable/potentially troublesome LSP on there (Collinite, heavily layered KSG, FK1000P, some coating...) that's in good condition, I'd probably just do an especially potent wash, maybe AutoInt/ValuGard's "A" or FK1119, or even Dawn. Or incorporate some of TOL's PrepWash into the wash somehow.

it's better to strip w.e. you can because worst case scenario, somethings embedded in there and if it can micro marr your paint--you don't what that wedged between the paint and your pad when you polish; nor do you want any of the potentially caustic contaminants either
